Inez Nielsen, former resident of Garrison, Onamia, and Isle, celebrated her 100th birthday in Tucson, Ariz. on Oct. 20.  There were two parties for her – one at Fountain of Life Lutheran Church.  The other at the nursing home where she lives – Sabino Canyon Rehabilitation and Nursing Home.  She and her husband, Albert Nielsen, ran a restaurant in Garrison before they purchased the Flying A Café and Gas Station in Onamia.  They were there for almost 30 years when they sold that place and moved to Isle.  For a short time, Inez worked as a waitress at a restaurant in Isle.  Any friends or acquaintances who would like to send her a note or see her when they visit Arizona can find her at Sabino Canyon Rehab. and Nursing Center, 5830 E. Pima Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712.  You can also send mail to her at her daughter’s address which is, Inez Nielsen, C/O Emelyn Barker, 4553 E. Montgomery Rd., Cave Creek, AZ 85331.
