The Mille Lacs Indian Museum and Trading Post invites everyone to spend the day on the shores of Lake Mille Lacs and join in family-friendly games and programs around the theme of water, including coloring, puzzles, beading, story time and outdoor activities (weather permitting). The event will be held Saturday, Oct. 12 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the museum located at 43411 Oodena Dr., Onamia.
Guests are encouraged to explore the new interactive exhibit We Are Water MN, on view in the visitor center.
We Are Water MN is led by the Minnesota Humanities Center in partnership with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency, the Minnesota Historical Society, the Minnesota Departments of Agriculture, Health, and Natural Resources.
We Are Water MN is funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities and with money from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund that was created with the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008.
