RHCC annual July golf event has a new twist

Riverwood Healthcare Center and Foundation will hold its annual golf charity event at Minnesota National Golf Course in McGregor throughout most of the month of July.

Riverwood Healthcare Center and Foundation announced its annual golf charity event, occurring anytime between July 1-31 (excluding July 4-5) at Minnesota National Golf Course in McGregor.

Proceeds from this year’s event will support funding for GeneXpert equipment that will be implemented in Riverwood’s labs in Aitkin, Garrison and McGregor. This equipment will provide the hospital with timely and accurate health and respiratory tests.

Located near the heart of northeastern Minnesota, McGregor’s Minnesota National Golf Course offers 18-holes on a nature-enclosed green.

With bentgrass fairways, white sand bunkers, and strategically-placed water. The course is located at 23247 480th St., 10 miles north of McGregor.

“We are very excited to put a new spin on the 2020 golf charity event this year,” said Katie Nelson, Riverwood Foundation Director. “The safety of our community is our number one priority, and we hope that individuals are able to get outside and support the cause as they have for over 40 years.

“Join us throughout the month of July as we raise funds for new laboratory testing equipment for all three clinics.”

Prizes in a variety of categories will be given out to participants, as well as complimentary goodie bags donated by event sponsors. The results will be tallied and announced once all final scores are submitted on July 31. Participants may golf as an individual, or as a team, keeping six feet apart.
