Riverwood Healthcare is hosting its annual Gala on Saturday, Sept. 14, at a new venue and time.
This event with a “derby” theme has changed from evening to afternoon with a start time of 3 p.m. at the Aitkin County Fairgrounds.
There will be a meal from Block North Brew Pub, plus a specially brewed beer and bourbon for the occasion. North Folk Winery will also provide wine. There will be something for everyone, including bean bag tournaments, Bingo and other games of chance, including one with a horse racing theme. There will also be a silent auction and a live auction with Janzen Auctioneers, Bob and Jeremy.
Proceeds from the gala will support the expansion of mental health services—emotional, psychological and social well-being—for the community. Riverwood now offers behavioral health services with Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Janet Larson in Aitkin, Garrison and McGregor. With a growing need for mental health services, Riverwood continues to enhance behavioral health programming in the local communities it serves.
Tickets are $50 for individuals and $520 per table for organization or group sponsorships. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are available as well.
“With the gala now in its 15th year, we decided to change it up with an earlier time and a new location,” said Katie Nelson, Riverwood Foundation director. “The lower ticket price makes it more affordable and the derby theme and games are going to offer a lot of action-packed fun.”
Nelson added: “If you are unable to attend the gala, please consider making a tax-deductible donation. Each year, generous support from local businesses and individual donors plays a huge role in the success of this unique event.”
Attire is dressy casual with derby hats for men and women optional. For tickets, sponsorships or donation inquiries, contact Riverwood Foundation at 218-927-8286 or email email@example.com.
