Riverwood Foundation will host its annual Healing Garden memorial ceremony on the grounds of Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin on Thursday, June 13, at 5 p.m.

There will be a short program to commemorate those who have been memorialized or honored at Riverwood Healthcare Center during the past two years. Each name will be read aloud. Pastor Dawn Houser of the United Methodist Church, Aitkin, will do an invocation, followed by musical entertainment by Aitkin High School choir members.

All are welcome at the ceremony; there’s no need to have made a memorial gift. Light refreshments will be served and no RSVP is needed.

After the hospital opened on Bunker Hill Drive in 2003, the Healing Garden was created to provide a place of peace and reflection of patients, their families, Riverwood employees and all members of the community. Memorials and honorariums can be provided through personalized pathway bricks, living flowers, trees and flowerbeds, benches and lamp posts. The order form is posted on Riverwood’s website at www.riverwoodhealthcare.org/foundation/giving/.
