Scorpion Homecoming dusts off those wonderful old machines and recalls a time when the Cuyuna Lakes area was among the largest snowmobile producers in the world. Numerous Scorpions will be on display and a trail ride is planned. This year will celebrate two feature sleds.
Range Whip, Scorpion’s popular mid-size sports machine. The homegrown Range Whip featured a two-seat configuration and powerful Cuyuna engine. All Range Whip model years (1976-1978) and engine sizes will be featured at the Homecoming.
Teardrop Designs, from 1967-1971 Scorpion’s stylish teardrop hood set the standard for style and function. Whether new or restored, all Scorpions are welcome! Special commemorative buttons will be sold at the tournament’s on-ice warming tent.
The National Anthem will be performed on the ice accompanied by the Ironton American Legion Color Guard. All proceeds from the tournament and Scorpion merchandise sales benefit the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber and will be used for marketing to attract visitors to the area.
