The Jaques Art Center in Aitkin has announced a call for entries for “Strokes of Genius,” its 16th Annual Juried Art Show. About $1500 in prize money will be awarded at the public reception Saturday, March 14 at 1 p.m. Entries will be accepted in three categories of fine art, 3/D sculpture, and photography. There is also a student category.

The “Strokes of Genius” show  will be on view at the Jaques from March 13 through May 8.

Feb. 20, is the deadline for submitting completed entry forms. Forms and additional information may be obtained at website; or call the museum at 218-927-2363 Tuesday through Saturday.

The Jaques Art Center, at 121 W Second St. NW, was founded in Aitkin, to exhibit and celebrate the art of nationally-acclaimed hometown artist Francis Lee Jaques; and to support and exhibit the work of contemporary artists in a variety of media. Now in its 25th anniversary year, the Jaques is planning special exhibits and celebrations throughout 2020. Admission is always free.
