There will be live music by JPACK and Martin Farrell and Jenna Rae while overlooking views of Serpent lake at the “Back-to-School Night” themed Cuyuna Lakes Chamber’s Music in the Park event on Thursday, Aug. 22. The free, family event will feature music, food, games, and more at Crosby’s Memorial Park from 5-8 p.m.

The event will include games for the kids, back-to-school pencils and notebooks and cool refreshments (while supplies last).

At the event the Traveling Art Pub will have “make and take” canvases available for you to purchase and create. Central Lakes College, and Cuyuna Area Connections will also have booths at the event.

JPACK plays a mix of classic rock and today’s hits.

The cosmic western duo of Jenna and Martin combine classic country sounds, bluegrass techniques, gospel harmonies, and rock rhythms.

Both Jenna and Martin are multi-instrumentalists and their live show incorporates a wide range of different instruments including guitar, pedal steel, banjo, foot pedals and saxophone. At their live shows you are likely to hear classic cover songs by Hank Williams, Loretta Lynn, Patsy Cline, Gram Parsons, Emmy Lou Harris, Kitty Wells, Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson and many more. The duo brings its vintage inspired cosmic western vibes wherever it goes.

The Iron Range Eatery will be serving food and refreshments.

Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets. For more information about each Music in the Park event, visit www.cuyunalakes.com.
