What’s it like being a kid in McGregor?

McGregor Students sing the song, I Can Tell that We are Gonna Be Friends, accompanied by Chloe Merrit on the xylophone. All of the songs this year were about what it is like being a kid. Students had a chance to read poems, reports, and advice for younger students; they wrote and performed songs about being their age, and did small skits about their favorite parts of being in their grade.

Shay Decoteau talked about how much the fourth graders value their teachers, and their sense of humor!

Third and fourth graders act out the song, The Cat Came Back. Derek Gauthier acts out the part of the disgruntled farmer, who just can’t seem to get rid of his annoying cat!

Third graders play the song, Who Has Seen the Wind on recorder.

Freshman, Jordan Paquette, told of her dreams for a better world, in the song, Letter from a Girl to the World. This piece was also featured in the junior high and senior high women’s choir.

Senior soloists practiced during a dress rehearsal for the elementary program. Left to right: Kinsten Rought, Fayth Nelson, Ethan Sampson and Blake Donner.

Sophomore, Deja Bouvette, performed her contest solo, Voi Che Sapete during the concert on May 22.
