FFA Gen Livestock

On Thursday, Sept. 26, the Aitkin FFA had a team of four and one practice individual compete in the general livestock Career Development Event (CDE) at the Long Prairie/Grey Eagle High School. In this CDE, participants had to judge five different types of animals and give oral reasons for why they placed them the way they did. They judged market dairy steers, bred beef heifers, market hogs, meat goats and breeding ewe sheep. The team of four placed eighth in the region. The four on the Aitkin team were Carson Scharrer, Alaina Chute, Owen Chute and Raija Gustin; individual, Olivia Tibbetts on a practice team.
