This year’s Aitkin High School one-act play, “Masterpiece,” by Nathan Metcalf is about a young artist on a journey to create her one great masterpiece. 

On the way, she learns lessons about life, art, flamingos, playing the tuba, Georgia O’Keefe with other artists, true friends, monkeys wearing roller skates and the joy of coloring outside the lines.
