Hours before a regular meeting on March 16, the McGregor School Board announced cancellation in an effort to promote social distancing.

Social distancing is a practice used to slow the spread of contagious diseases – in this case, COVID-19.

The Board has moved all agenda items to its next scheduled meeting on April 1. The Board may utilize Zoom, a video conference app, to maintain social distancing measures.

However, the Board is legally required to have at least one member physically present at the meeting location.

Postponed items includes accepting Josh Wahlin’s and Emily Delfosse’s resignations, hiring Rebecca Hagen as head volleyball coach and Bethany Sellers as junior high volleyball coach, the usual reports from administration, and discussion of the district’s strategic plan.
