Power Up

Pictured are staff members at Rippleside Elementary School: Julie Jensen, counselor; Brittney Galbraith, secretary and Cassie Conn, administrative assistant; along with several of the kids from St. John’s VBS – Noah Rose, Quinn Crowther, Taya Hawkins, Natalie Crowther (back row), Lindsey Ecklund, Ben Crowther, Paityn Hawkins, and Conner Hawkins (front row).

The kids from St. John’s Lutheran Church Vacation Bible School (VBS), along with the St. John’s congregation, collected 225 school supply items to help students and teachers “Power Up and Raise the Game” this school year. During VBS kids learned that “God’s power has given us everything we need to lead a godly life,” (2 Peter 1:3a) during a video game-inspired week and encouraged the kids to help give back to others.

When challenged to an extra “bonus level” mission project to collect school supplies for their classmates at Rippleside Elementary School, the VBS kids filled their team boxes with more and more school supplies each day.

Together with the congregation, St. John’s collected 225 items so teachers and students have everything they need to succeed this school year.
