Karen and Dave Rathbun

Karen and Dave Rathbun have been awarded their Quilts of Valor. Karen is a retired Navy Petty Officer First Class, serving 20 years in Washington State, Guam and Hawaii.

Dave has 24 yrs in the Navy and retired as Chief Petty Officer also serving in Washington, Guam and Hawaii. He was a rescue air crewman involved in 60 rescues and medivacs.

Vicki Rathbum made the quilts and is a member of the Ripple River Quilt Guild. Dave is a brother to Alan Rathbun who lives in Palisade.

John Deblock

John Deblock was in the Army at the end of World War II. He spent three years in the Phillipines. Pictured:  John “Tap” Deblock; wife, Lorraine; John; Denise Schlapkohl, daughter and Kathy Deblock, daughter-in-law.

Paul Johnson

Paul Johnson was 17 when he joined the Marines. He served 30 years in the Marines and Air National Guard. Pictured: Kay Johnson, Paul and Mark Olson.
