An owl in need

Sara Karr submitted this photo her husband, Kris Karr, took of an owl he helped rescue Sept. 25. She said, “He works for Crow Wing County Highway Department and was mowing the ditches when he noticed this owl. It was dehydrated, had a swollen foot that was infected and couldn’t fly. They brought it to Wild and Free. It sounds like he will survive.”
