Albert “Bud” Elsworth Erickson, 97, Aitkin, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Aicota Health Care Center, Aitkin.

He was born Feb. 18, 1923 in Brimson to Albert and Ellen (Brostrom) Erickson. Bud was united in marriage to Lois Erlandson on July 27, 1944 in Opstead. In 1973, Bud and his brother-in-law, Herbert Erlandson built Ripple River Auto Center which is now The Tire Barn. Bud also logged, ran a sawmill and built houses during his work career. He enjoyed woodworking, building bird houses and especially spending time with his family. Bud will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Bud was preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years, Lois; his parents; two sons, Gary and Brian and an infant great-grandson, Isaac; siblings: Clifford, Lloyd, Robert, Eileen, Doris and Verna.

Bud is survived by his children: Robert (Jane) Erickson, Congress, Arizona; Mark (Miriam) Erickson, Bonifay, Florida; Susan Erickson, Aitkin; and daughter-in-law, Sandy Erickson, Aitkin; grandchildren: Lance (Genia), Jason (Kara), Reese (Jodeen), Clint (Misty), Jill (Brent), Tracy (Keil), Travis (Sarah), and Shelby (Jay); great-grandchildren: Mandy, Mira, Ethan, Jeron, Lisa, Viktor, Xiena, Sharayah, Barrett, Lincoln, Levelyn, Solemon, Scarlett, Everen, Bexton, Megan, Ethan, Tyler, Isabella, Eli, Baylie, Brooklyne, and Weslynn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services for Bud will be held at a later date.
