Allan Lee Schlumpberger, 70, McGregor, passed away Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, in Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.  

He was born Sept. 5, 1948, in Little Falls to Roman and Franzella (Goebel) Schlumpberger. Allan graduated from Little Falls High School in 1966. He was united in marriage to Kathleen Mary Beto on Dec. 30, 1967, in Flensburg.  

Allan owned and operated Countryside Millwork in McGregor from 1996 until he retired in 2007.  Allan enjoyed snowmobiling, four-wheeling and was an avid hunter. Allan also enjoyed remodeling/building houses and loved to fix things “his way.” One of Allan’s favorite sayings was, “If you want to play hard, you have to work hard.”

Allan is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen; his parents; brother, LeRoy; sister, Fran; sister-in-law, MaryAnn; brothers-in-law, Darryl, Al and Mike; nieces, nephews and his many fur babies.

Allan is survived by his children: Heidi (Scott DeMars) Nobbs, Albertville; Tammy (Roger Krause) Braun, Buffalo; Allyn Schlumpberger, Moose Lake; dog, Nestle; grandchildren, Joseph Nobbs (Josephine), Kayla Nobbs, Samantha (Wilbur) Rasset, Steven Braun (Kaiti), Justin Acker, Nicole Acker (Justin) and Allan (Corrine) Acker and children; great-grandchildren; Nathan Nobbs, Kathleen Nobbs, Kaidyn Kafer, Archer Rasset, Tyler Braun, Carson Hennen and one on the way; siblings, Rita, Jerry, Rose (Jim), Gary (Patty), Sherry (Paul) and Randy (Debbie); sister-in-law, Cele; godchildren, David Schlumpberger and Lisa White; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Services will be Friday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. in McGregor Funeral Home, McGregor. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please donate to cancer research in honor of Allan.
