Donald Joseph Stealy, 91, Brainerd, formerly of Crosby, died on Aug. 2, 2020 at the Woodland Good Samaritan Village in Brainerd.

He was born on Dec. 27, 1928 in Newton, Iowa to Arthur and Helen (Kern) Stealy. Don was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a retired owner of Stealy Towing and Crane Service. He was a founding member of the Crosby-Ironton Alcoholics Anonymous program and a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby.

Don is survived by his wife Virginia; two sons, Clark (Belinda) Stealy, McGregor and Kevin (Ellen) Stealy, Brainerd; two daughters, Brenda Pickar, Staples and Lisa Stealy, Brainerd; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Don in death were: his parents; one sister, Charlotte Engelhaupt and three brothers: Eugene, Leo and Arthur Stealy; and foster parents, Charles and Mathilda Harris.

A Memorial Service was held at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 7, 2020 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crosby. Burial was at the Lakewood Cemetery in Crosby. A visitation was one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with the Koop Funeral Home in Crosby.
