Frances Kay Watson, 75, Palisade, died Tuesday, June 4, 2019 at Arbor Oaks in Andover.  

She was born Dec. 8, 1943, in Aitkin to Arthur Joseph and May Sylvia Winifred (Bronner) Christensen.  She graduated from Aitkin High School.  Frances was united in marriage to Kile Warren Watson on July 1, 1961, in Palisade.  They lived in northeast Minneapolis for a time until moving back to the Aitkin area near Palisade in 2010. They lived there until Kile passed away and then Frances moved to Arbor Oaks in Andover.  

She was preceded in death by her husband Kile on Dec. 29, 2014; sister Doris Handt; her parents; and grandson Kipp Keating.

Frances is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Kevin (Jayne) Watson, Anoka; daughter and son-in-law: Cindy (Kipp) Keating, Florissant, Colo.; grandchildren: Amanda (Erik) Skogquist, Angela (Jason) Vevea, Timothy (Brittany) Watson, Stephanie Watson (Justin LeClaire), and Amanda Keating; great-grandchildren: Everett, Oliver, Addison, Wilhelmina, Alexis, Leaonna, and Lily; sisters and brothers-in-law: Dorothy Lage, Karen (Robert) Carlson, and Marilyn (David) Ruud; and many other special relatives and friends.

The funeral service was Monday, June 10, 2019 at Bethel Lutheran Church in Palisade.  Reverend William Sass officiated.  

Arrangements are with Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Aitkin.

Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers.
