LaVerne Elaine (Price) Enger, 91, Aitkin, passed away Monday, July 6, 2020 at her home.

She was born Dec. 3, 1928 in Virginia, Minnesota to Chris and Alice (Ostman) Christiansen. LaVerne was united in marriage to Rudolph “Rudy” Price. After Rudy’s passing, LaVerne was united in marriage to Noris Enger. LaVerne worked at Upper Crust Bakery as a cake decorator. She enjoyed drawing, knitting, painting, writing to the editor and especially spending time with family and friends. LaVerne will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her husbands, Rudolph Price and Noris Enger; granddaughter, Jasmine Bradford; three brothers: infant, Howard MacDonald, Elwood MacDonald, and Clifford Christiansen.

LaVerne is survived by three sons: Timothy (Dawn) Price, Braham; Tony (Estibaliz) Price, Long Beach, California; and Thomas (Lori) Price, Stacy; four daughters: Nancy Salo, Mora; Joy Lichtsinn, Pearland, Texas; Susan Hermans, Aitkin; and Melanie (Dale) Poelvoorde, Menifee, California; 25 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Jane (Craig) Harris, Hermantown; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. at Sorensen-Root-Thompson Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date in Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Following the service everyone is cordially invited to Susan Hermans’ residence at 208 Third Ave. S.E., Aitkin for lunch and fellowship.
