Mary E. Logid, 94, Aitkin, formerly of Robbinsdale, died Oct. 5, 2019, at Aicota Health Care Center in Aitkin.

Mary was born Nov. 14, 1924, the daughter of Ralph and Frieda (Lindberg) Downing. She graduated from Edison High School. She married Leonard Logid on June 14, 1946, and they were together for more than 50 years.

Mary had many secretarial positions, including an advertising company, Reach-McClinton, located in the Foshay Tower in Minneapolis.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, dancing, gardening, picnics, traveling and playing cards.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and brother, Dave.

She is survived by son, Ronald (Jolene) Logid; daughter, Gloria Logid; grandchildren, Maria (Dean) Chelstrom, Chad (Sharlin) Logid, Sean Quigley, Brian Quigley; two step-granddaughters, Kristi (Dennis) Worden and Kim (Zack) Nielsen; several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, with visitation one hour prior at Washburn-McReavy Hillside Chapel, 2610 19th Ave. N.E., Minneapolis. Interment will be at Hillside Cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association.
