Wendy Michelle Wagner, 47, Palisade, passed peacefully with her family by her side, Aug. 1, 2019 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Duluth.
She was born July 21, 1972 in Aitkin to Mike and Carol (Hubbard) Purdy.
Everyone who knew Wendy saw that she had a heart of gold! She was compassionate, kind, loving, caring, and always willing to help others. She always had time to listen, love, and give.
Wendy was united in marriage to Wayne Wagner, Jr. on Oct. 27, 1990 at Hilltop Chapel, Palisade. Together they lived in the Aitkin area and raised three children. She was employed with the U.S. Postal Service. She enjoyed crafting, decorating for holidays, interior design, spending time with Wayne refurbishing furniture, gardening, painting and wood burning and carving; but the times that she enjoyed most were spent with all of her grandchildren. She loved her family very much, and she was an amazing mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.
Wendy is survived by her husband, Wayne; parents, Mike and Carol Purdy; son, Spencer (Chelsi) Wagner, Brainerd; daughters: Rylee Wagner, Palisade; Lexi (Andrew) Nihill, Mandan, N.D.; grandchildren: Braden, Tyce, Ezra, Caspian and Lola Wagner, Charlotte Denofre and soon to be baby girl Nihill; two sisters: Chris (Dave) Neil, Princeton and Jill (Steve) Janzen, Palisade; many other special relatives and friends.
A celebration of Wendy’s life will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2019 at the Waukenabo Community Center, Waukenabo Township, Palisade. Lunch will be served.
