Chez William Guyer, 45, Isle, was arrested June 6, and charged with numerous offenses. Guyer was driving a semi-tractor pulling a trailer on Hwy. 18 along the north shore of Mille Lacs Lake. A motorist witnessed the semi driving erratically and called 911.
An Aitkin County deputy who was patrolling in the vicinity located the semi truck. The deputy witnessed the driving conduct and initiated a traffic stop.
Following his arrest, the Aitkin County Attorney’s Office filed a formal complaint charging him with: gross misdemeanor controlled substance fifth degree possession; gross misdemeanor possess pistol without permit; gross misdemeanor intent to escape tax; misdemeanor fourth degree DWI – operate motor vehicle under influence of controlled substance, operate motor vehicle – body contains any amount schedule I/II drugs; misdemeanor no proof of insurance; and petty misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
