I find it fascinating that grown-ups still tell the children's story, that the earth is flat, if you don't believe me they say, let's get a map. There are some parents and grandparents that swear to high heaven that there is a Santa Claus. Gosh I remember when my mother said, brown cows give chocolate milk. As I got older, I find that older adults believe in the fallacy that “Fox and Friends” is a fair and balanced newscast, Then there is the biggie of my generation, when the Republicans said, We are about reducing the national debt. The truth of the matter is that, when Republicans are in office, they do not give a hoot about bringing down the national debt. Look it up and prove me wrong, if you disagree or think you can. I am saying that no Republican has in the last 45 years, ever reduced the national debt. To tell it like it is, the Republicans talk a big game on reducing the national deficit, but they really suck at ruining the nations economy. The Party of Fiscal Responsibility has overseen a legislative agenda ever since they took control of both Houses of Congress and the White House, they have ballooned the debt and deficit to new levels. George W. Bush buried the myth of Republican fiscal discipline and President Trump has stomped on “that grave” to ensure that it stays buried. I remember not so long ago when President Obama was drafting his budget proposal, these Republicans would argue that the national debt threatened the well-being of our children and grandchildren. They claimed to view the deficit reduction as a sacred cow. That is the “I believe in Santa” illusion, they played on grown-ups. My biggest fear is some day the Republicans will, tell me that the moon isn't made of Swiss cheese.
