As summer approaches, I have had numerous permit notifications for work in public waters. Most of these have been for vegetation control.

Cattail, bulrush and wild rice plants are our most protected aquatic plants. Check the DNR website or call Aitkin Fisheries regarding permits if you are contemplating removing any.
