The Aitkin Anglers finished the season at Lake of the Ozarks in Osage Beach, Mo., over MEA weekend. “We had four boats in competition. One of our boats, Tyler Bill and Logan Crowther, qualified for the weigh in on Saturday to represent the Aitkin Anglers,” said coach Dan Borseth.

Thirty-four people fished and supported the Anglers who spent four and a half days in the Ozarks. They toured the Bass Pro Shop Hall of Fame and Lews Fishing/Strike Master and had a chance to pre-fish. The Anglers fished against 56 boats from Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Illinois and Kansas.

“What a great first season for Aitkin and its Anglers,” continued Borseth. “Our season is not based on wins and losses, we go by smiles and miles. We had a lot of smiles and had to drive a lot of miles to make this happen for our fishing team. Without the great support from sponsors, moms, dads, aunts, uncles, grandpas and grandmas, we are dead in the water.”

Representing the team were Borseth, coach/captain, Maggie Borseth, Kobe Sahr, Carter Schwerin, Eion Quiel, Nathan Stifter, Jacob Espeseth, Tyler Bill and Logan Crowther. Other boat captains were Matt Schwerin, Dale Schwerin and Jason Bill.
