At the individual North Subsection tournament, Oct. 9, Kelsi Welle lost to her Eveleth-Gilbert singles’ opponent 0-6, 0-6, and Grace Janzen was defeated by her Virginia opponent 0-6, 0-6. In doubles action, Ashlyn Berg/Breanna Hines lost to a team from Virginia 0-6, 0-6. Brooke Hanson/Abby Monse also lost in doubles play 1-6, 0-6.
