CITY OF WAHKON Wahkon Days No Parking Notice The City of Wahkon will TOW all vehicles (ATVs, golf carts, motorcycles, etc.) parked on the detour route, parade and line up routes at owners expense. Our streets are narrow and must be open to traffic detoured during parades. If they are unsafe the parade could be cancelled and/or future permits denied. There will be two parades, Fri. & Sat. August 16 & 17 beginning at 7 pm. Detour route is 1st Street E (Morning Star Market) to Meshigun Ave to 3rd Street E (Sacred Heart Church) to Hennepin Ave to Hwy 27, which will be posted and designated as NO PARKING 3 - 8 pm. Parking on Main Street during the parade hinders participants and spectators from fully enjoying this small-town tradition. Main Street and the lineup area on 1st Street W (Wahkon Presbyterian Church) will also be posted and designated as NO PARKING 6 - 8 pm.
