Four-sport athlete
Two years ago, Macen Haggberg posed in his Isle Huskies football jersey. He played varsity football, wrestling and baseball for Isle High, as well as taking part in the school’s trap shooting events.
Tribute to Macen
Friends of Macen Haggberg, who died in a motor-vehicle accident on Dec. 18, gathered at the Isle High football practice field on Sunday, Dec. 20 to release balloons in is honor.

An airplane over Mille Lacs Lake observed this stretch of open water along the lake’s north shore on Sunday, Dec. 20. A number of anglers were stranded on the lake and rescued near Red Door Resort that Sunday.

Sue Hothya-Ralph helms the counter at the bait shop’s new Malmo location. Hoythya-Ralph noted that the shop is a family-run operation affiliated with Todd’s Live Bait in Aitkin County.
