Traveling Naturalist: Wild Cats: On Thursday, July 24, at 6:30 p.m.,the Mille Lacs Lake Community Library will host a presentation on big cats.

Tufted ears, bobbed tail, tawny coat, whatever their differences, all wild cats are master hunters in their environment. Discover how the cat family differs from the dog family in their lifestyles, hunting techniques and relationship to humans. Learn about the joys and realities of keeping captive cats from a family that raised a cougar kitten from birth to adulthood. Lynx and bobcats and cougars – Oh, my!

This program is for all ages. No registration necessary.

Easter Egg Rockets: On Thursday, July 25, from 1 to 2 p.m., the Aitkin Public Library will host Easter Egg Rocket crafting session in the community room. Join in to make a rocket from a plastic Easter egg and other household materials. Weather permitting, the rockets will then be launched outside the library. This event is recommend for age 8 and up.
