• Tiny Tot Sale - Onamia: Friday, Dec. 6, starting 3:30 p.m. at the Onamia Elementary. Event for children 12 and under. All items are new and cost $1. Shoppers can buy 10 items each. Featuring a special appearance from Santa. Sponsored by the United Methodist Women and Onamia Lions Club. UMW will hold a bake sale in the school foyer.

• Photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus - Century 21 Offices: Saturday, Dec. 7. Bring your family and pets to get a picture with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Come visit and enjoy refreshments and treats. Red Kettles will be on-site. Please bring a donation for the local food shelf. • Santa coming to Garrison Y-Club along with former Viking, Carl Lee: On Sat., Dec. 7, Santa and former Viking’s player Carl Lee will be at the Garrison Y-Club from 6-7 p.m.

• Santa’s Workshop - Hillman: Saturday, Dec. 7, starting at noon. Gifts will be available for $1, along with wrapping. The event will feature a visit from Santa, sleigh and hayrides, hot chocolate, Christmas cookies and more. The Onamia and Pierz Lions will be present offering free vision screening for parents who fill out paperwork. The event is sponsored by the Richardson Area Lions Club.

• Kids Christmas Party - Garrison: Saturday, Dec. 7, 5 to 7 p.m. There will be a kid’s Christmas party at the Garrison Community Center, right next to the fire hall. Mr. and Mrs. Santa will be there, and one boy’s and one girl’s bike will be given away. Activities include hayrides that go past the live nativity as well as cookies, goodie bags and hot chocolate A Christmas craft will be provided by the Garrison Fire Department. This event is sponsored by the Garrison Commercial Club.

• Santa Day and Bake Sale - Onamia: Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Onamia Depot Library. Get your free photos with Santa. Enjoy refreshments and bring your wish list. Mrs. Claus will also be on hand to welcome visitors and read stories. Baked goods will also be on sale.

• Santa Open House - Garrison: Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Beanery on Mille Lacs (9933 Highway 169, Garrison).

• Santa at the McGrath Fire Hall: Saturday, Dec. 14, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the McGrath Fire Hall. Santa, sleigh rides, treats, cookies and coffee will be available for everyone. This event is sponsored by the McGrath Fire Department Relief Association.

• Santa at Malmo: Saturday, Dec. 14 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mille Lacs Trails snowmobile clubhouse, a half mile north of Malmo on Hwy. 47. Santa and his elf will be there. Free lunch will be served. Gifts will be available for all kids 12 and under. There will also be free vision testing, sponsored by the Malmo Lions. • Community Toy Box and Distribution Party - Wahkon: Donation of new unwrapped toys are requested at designated drop spots around the Mille Lacs Community, including the Messenger office, Wahkon Presbyterian Church, Isle Spire Credit Union, First National Bank of Millaca - Isle office, Isle Hardware Hank, Thompson Lake Country Drug in Isle, Isle Dollar General, The Wahkon Inn, The Mille Lacs Health System in Onamia, Agnew Hardware Hank in Onamia, Onamia Drug and the Onamia Dollar General. Please drop off toys by Tuesday, Dec. 10. Parents and children invited to distribution party on Sunday, Dec. 15, from 2 to 5 p.m., at the Wahkon Inn.
