Bond . . . James Bond

 The Great River Strings Orchestra will present a Gala Fundraiser at the C-I Pub’s Pine Room in Ironton, Minn., on Saturday, Oct. 27. Beginning with a social hour at 5 p.m. and dinner at 6 p.m., the orchestra will perform both classical and contemporary music from many of the James Bond films. Starting with “Diamonds Are Forever,” the orchestra will play music from Bond films of the last 50 years, concluding with a “Mystery Diamond” drawing at the end of the program.Tickets for the “Mystery Diamond” drawing will be available at the door before the concert.

Following the orchestra program, the audience will be encouraged to hit the dance floor and “shake a leg” to the music of the local duo, Common Men. Guests are encouraged to dress up and put on their “dancing shoes” for this one of a kind event.

Tickets are $35 per person through Oct. 20 and $40 per person after Oct. 20. Tickets may be ordered at the C-I Pub in Ironton, The Beanery in Aitkin, or through any orchestra member.
