Social worker Kim Olesen and RN Brenda Laughton from HomeHealth Partnership Hospice in Crosby will present a program entitled “The Misconceptions and Benefits of Hospice” on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 11 a.m. at the American Legion in Aitkin. The HomeHealth Partnership’s Hospice team is committed to supporting the goals of their patients and their families. It encourages families to be involved in all care decisions. The focus of their care is on sustaining quality of life by encouraging personal choices, supporting meaningful experiences and preserving patient dignity. This presentation is sponsored by Aitkin County TRIAD, which is a collaboration of senior citizens and law enforcement working together to make our community a better place to live. TRIAD meets monthly and sponsors a program to benefit the community three times a year. Following the presentation, a free lunch will be served. Contact Pat Feyo at (320) 684-2011 or wpfeyo@frontier.com for reservations by Aug. 15.
