K9 visits Onamia Schools

On Wednesday, March 24, Deputy Bromberg of the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s and his K9 partner Bongo came to the Onamia High School to present to Mr. Henrickson’s Street Law Class. Deputy Bromberg spoke about the history of Bongo, where he came from and what he is trained to do. Deputy Bromberg and Bongo also had a physical demonstration about his commands, his obedience and even his ability to search for special items such as narcotics. The Onamia Schools thanked Deputy Bromberg, Bongo and the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office for the opportunity to learn a little about law enforcement K9s.
