Br. Timothy Tomczak OSC, died of multiple myeloma in long-term-care at Mille Lacs Health System, Onamia, on October 31, 2019.
Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. at the Crosier Priory church in Onamia. Visitation one hour prior. Inurnment to follow in the Priory cemetery. Dinner served after the conclusion of the funeral rites.
Memorials are preferred to the Crosier Fathers and Brothers, Box 500, Onamia, Minn., 56359.
He is survived by his Crosier confreres and his siblings, (sisters) Mary (Jim) Kwapick, Stella (Les) Dyer, Antoinette Johnson, Clare (Jim) Van Den Boom, and Dolores Berglund, and (brothers) Kevin (Rae) Tomczak, Kenneth (Laurie) Tomczak, Blaise (Jackie) Tomczak, and Daryl Tomczak. He id also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Mark; and nephew, Staff Sgt. Zachary Tomczak, U.S Army.
He was born March 30, 1954, to Theodore and Celia (Greske) Tomczak in Moose Lake, Minn. He attended Crosier Seminary Jr. College in Onamia and graduated from St. Cloud State University. He entered the Crosier Order as a Novice in Hastings, Neb., on August 27, 1985, and professed Religious vows on August 28, 1986.
He served in the Order’s pastoral outreach and administrative work in New York, Shoreview, Phoenix, Rome, and Onamia.
