Debra Marie Nord, best known as Auntie Debbie, died unexpectedly on March 30, 2020 in Onamia, MN when her wonderful heart just quit.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Funeral arrangements by Cremation Society of Minnesota.
She is survived by her mom, Helen (Fredin) Nord; sister, Denece Strandlund; brother, Dave Nord (Sigrid); niece, Katie Strandlund; nephew, Stevie Strandlund, (Kayti, sons Hayden and Hudson); nephews, Seth and Sam Nord; friends who were more like sisters, Shelly Petterson (Lynn) and Wendy Lindemann (Doug); and many other friends and family who will miss her dearly.
Debbie was preceded in death by her beloved Harold Willis; and her dad, Richard Nord.
She was born September 7, 1958 in Minneapolis - the first beloved child of Richard and Helen (Fredin) Nord. Debbie attended Marshall U High school until the family moved to East Bethel. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1976.
Debbie moved to Mora in 1992 and later to Onamia to be with her beloved Harold Willis. She continued to make the long commute to Minneapolis where she worked at the Wells Fargo data center. She proudly retired from there in 2017 after 30 years of committed service.
Having no children of her own, Debbie was most proud of her four nieces and nephews, and two great-nephews. She was the queen of garage sales and shared her love of baking, shopping for bargains, crafting, and card-making with everyone she loved. We will all miss her Christmas cookies and candies.
