Hazel was born on August 22, 1934 in Hillman, Minn. Her parents were Daniel and Mildred (Logan) Wood. She was raised on the family farm with her ten siblings. Although they didn’t have much, they had each other and worked hard to keep the farm going. She had many interesting tales to tell growing up with so many siblings. She married Alfred Kimmons on June 3, 1952. She and Alfred had seven children (one stillborn). Her life was spent devoted to her children and husband as a remarkable homemaker with a special gift for decorating. She was deeply loved by her family and will be missed beyond words.

Thank you to all who have been a blessing to her and to the caring staff at the Mille Lacs Health System Long Term Care facility in Onamia.
