Keith “Bud” Stockdill JR., passed away on November 22, 2019, at his residence in Isle, Minnesota, at the age of 49.
Memorial services were Tuesday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. at the Isle Baptist Church with Pastor Nick Skogen officiating. Music provided by Carol Tramm. Urn bearers were Chad Gross, Kyle Jacobson, Al Cooper, Joe Gruhkle, Jason Dooley, Juan Isais, and Jim Stockdill. Inurnment will be at the Onamia Veterans Cemetery, Onamia, Minn. Arrangements by Mille Lacs Funeral and Cremation Services.
He is survived by his son, Brandon (Danielle) Stockdill of St. Cloud; daughter, Jacqueline Stockdill of North Carolina; parents, Keith and Jacqueline Stockdill; sisters, Barbara Stockdill of Forest Lake, Minn., Kimberly Gruba of Onamia, Minn.; nephew, Kyle (Beth) Jacobson of Coon Rapids, Minn.; nieces; Maggie Jacobson of Blaine, Minn., Tanner O’Conner of McGrath, Minn.; step-daughters, Kayla and Heather; one grandchild; many aunts, uncles, cousins, , special friends, and dog Dixie.
Keith was preceded in death by his grandparents, Kenneth and Mildred Stockdill, and Joseph and Geraldine Gilbert .
He was born on December 25, 1969, in Tom’s Place, New Jersey, to Keith and Jacqueline (Gilbert) Stockdill. They moved to Brooklyn Park, Minn., in 1970. In 1983, the family moved to Onamia, Minn., to pursue the parents dream of owning a resort - Stocky’s Harbor. Keith graduated from Onamia High School in 1988. He enjoyed playing football in his high school years. After graduation, he enlisted in the Army in 1989, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
Keith was a member of the Onamia Veterans Club. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling, listening to music, hanging out with friends watching the Vikings games and the Minnesota Wild. Keith loved old western movies, Rambo was his favorite movie. He especially loved Monday night dinners with his parents and his “little sis” Kim. Spending time with his grandbaby Payton brought so much joy to him. He loved all little kids.
