Bebaamwewidang, Kenneth “Mister” Wayne Mitchell Sr., 62-year-old resident of Onamia, Minnesota, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2019 in Onamia, Minn.
A funeral ceremony was held on Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Community Center on the Mille Lacs Reservation with Lee Staples officiating. Interment was in the Woodland Burial Grounds. Visitation was on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Community Center on the Mille Lacs Reservation.
Arrangements were with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia.
Bebaamwewidang is survived by his mother, Susan Shingobe; sons, Randall (Teresa) Nickaboine Sr., Kenneth Mitchell Jr., Cheyenne Davis; daughters, Kendra Mitchell, Kelly Mitchell, Chasity Gahbow; brothers, Kelvin Shingobe Sr., Daniel Bugg, Tom Bugg; sisters, Joycelyn Shingobe, Charlene Shingobe, Carmen Bugg, Sherry Olson, Suzanne Bugg; grandchildren, Randall Jr., Alaiysha, Kenneth III, Arkadian, Adrian, Lilyahna, Ayasha, Kelis, Serenitie, Jordan, Dayden, Bobby Jr., and Jace.
He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Bugg Jr.; fiancée, Tina Marie Anderson; son, Fabian; and his brother, Tim.
Bebaamwewidang, Kenneth “Mister” Wayne Mitchell Sr. was born on February 13, 1957, in Onamia, Minnesota to Thomas Bugg Jr. and Susan Shingobe. He recently retired from the Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe Housing Department where he was a carpenter. Mister loved to spend his time playing golf on the many courses around the area and going to the casino with Tina. He also enjoyed going hunting and playing pool. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
