Lee was born July 4, 1939 to Kenneth and Helen Lunde. He was united in marriage to Joyce Eileen Dessler on June 14, 1958. Lee was an enterprising, hardworking man. He was completely devoted to his family and friends. After retiring from Dakota County at the age of 60, Lee and Joyce moved to the Onamia area on the south shore of Mille Lacs. They spent many happy years on the lake fishing daily and welcoming family and friends who visited often. Lee continued to build new friendships in the Mille Lacs area and spent many hours fishing on the big water. Later they moved into Isle, where mornings at the Corner Café became a ritual. His love of tractors, lawn mowers, garage sales and auctions kept him busy. His garage sales were well known and became more of a social event as friends and past customers would stop by to see what he had collected. Lee was well respected by all and known to be generous with his time and his talent, always wanting share what he had learned with others.
