Lois Ann Moroney of McGrath, Minnesota, died on Friday, June 14, 2019 at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was 85 years old.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, June 26, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wahkon, Minn., with Fr. Jerry Schik, osc and Fr. John Fleischhacker, osc officiating. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Wounded Warriors Project.
Lois is survived by her husband, Richard Moroney; sons, Mark (Gayle), Randy (Kate) and Brady (Sandy); brother, Marlin Hansen; grandchildren, Donovan, Mackenzie, Alicia, Lindsay, Alex and Aiden; and great-grandchildren, Jameson, Cashton and Delilah.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Rose Hansen, and sisters, Gloria (John) Mclean and Geraldine (Alan) Letourneau.
Lois was born in St. Paul, Minn., on February 11, 1934. She was raised on Otter Lake and graduated from White Bear High School in 1952. She then received her Bachelors Degree in Occupational Therapy (cum laude) from University of Minnesota in 1956. Lois worked at Gillette and Hastings State Hospitals and the Metropolitan Medical Center (MMC). She was a registered diet and nutrition consultant with Shaklee Corporation from 1978 to the present. On June 29, 1957, she was united in marriage to Richard Moroney at the St. Paul Catholic Cathedral.
Lois lived with a passion for life and serving others. She enjoyed waterskiing, snow-skiing, hunting, fishing, tennis, guitar, auto-harp, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, pontoon, water biking, teaching nutrition, and leading music in church.
