Phyllis Marcella Lundeen, 92-year-old resident of Onamia, Minnesota, passed away on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the Elim Home in Milaca, Minn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Onamia, Minn. Visitation will be held one hour prior to Mass at church. Interment will be in the Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Shelley Funeral Chapel of Onamia.
Phyllis was born on November 14, 1926 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to William and Frances (Mankowski) Hawfitch. She attended Minneapolis Marshall High. In May of 1947 she was united in marriage to Floyd Lundeen at Saint Clement’s Church in Minneapolis. The couple raised their two children, Karen and William in N.E. Minneapolis. Phyllis worked at a number of jobs including Minneapolis Knitting Works, Electric Wire Products, Northrup King and Honeywell, but her favorite was at home being a wife, mom, grandma, scout troop leader and homemaker. Phyllis and Floyd enjoyed spending their summers on Mille Lacs Lake and wintering in Arizona. She enjoyed traveling, reading recipe books, hosting meals with friends and relatives and relaxing on the deck. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Phyllis Marcella Lundeen is survived by her son, Bill Lundeen and wife, Kathy ,of Onamia, Minn.; grandchildren, Clarissa Dahlen and Amanda (Tom) Lutes; brother, James Keeley; sister, Kathleen Keeley; nieces, a nephew, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd; daughter, Karen Dahlen; parents, William and Frances (Mankowski) Hawfitch; sister, Irene Sundquist; sister-in-law, Maurice Keeley; and brother-in-law, Lorenzo Matawaran.
