Richard (Dick) Leon Johnson of Mora, Minnesota, formerly of Isle and Maple Grove, Minnesota, died on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at the Princeton Elim Home. He was 77 years old.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, June 19, at 1:30 p.m. at the Isle Evangelical Free Church with visitation from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. at the church.

Richard is survived by his brother, Raymond (Lucy) Johnson of Isle, Minn.; his sisters, Sharon (Danny) Revard of Dassel, Minn.; Shirley (Roger) Homan of Wahkon, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Leona, as well as his wife, Thelma.
Richard was born on September 30, 1941, in Burlington, Iowa, to Alvin and Leona (Erickson) Johnson. When he was an infant, the family moved to rural Isle, and Richard grew up on a farm there. He graduated from Isle High School in 1959. On December 5, 1963, he was united in marriage to Thelma Schofield and they lived in Maple Grove. After Thelma’s death in 2009, Richard moved to Mora, Minn.
Richard worked on the river unloading barges and dredging. In 1993, He went to work for Dakota Bulk Terminal in St. Paul, Minn. He was a member of the Local 49ers for 54 years. He enjoyed the outdoors, most notably hunting and snowmobiling. He enjoyed being with people and was a friend to all.
