Penny Krussow

Penny Krussow offers a range of services and products at her salon in Isle.

Penny Krussow has opened Isle Bay Salon on Lake Avenue North in Isle.

Krussow has been coming to Mille Lacs Lake since she was 12 when her parents, Doug and Lois Hanson, bought a cabin on Isle Bay.

A couple of years ago, she purchased salon equipment from her employer at Volume Salon in Plymouth. At the time, Krussow didn’t know what she was going to do with it, but was beginning to think about making a move for herself.

Everything fell into place for Krussow when she saw a house for sale that she liked and decided to make the leap. She turned the family room into a beauty salon, and on June 1, she began seeing clients in her home shop.

Krussow offers casual professional services at Isle Bay Salon including hair cuts for the entire family, styling, coloring, conditioning treatments, perms, waving, waxing, ear piercing, and brow tinting by appointment.

She is a graduate of Aveda Institute in Minneapolis and has been in the hair business for 29 years. She is open Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to fit her customers’ schedules. She encourages her customers to make same day appointments.

Krussow has a website at www.islebaysalon.com. She can be reached by email at islebaysalon@gmail.com or by phone at (320) 390-2023.

Krussow offers professional salon products including Redken, Pureology, American Crew, Denra, Aquage, IT’s a 10 and Bed Head.

She is offering a drawing to win about $100 in hair care items, and encourages everyone to make an appointment, relax and enjoy having their hair done.
