A 45-year-old Isle man was arrested on June 6, 2019, and charged with numerous offenses, according to a release from the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office. Chez William Guyer, Isle, was driving a semi-tractor pulling a trailer on Hwy. 18 along the north shore of Mille Lacs Lake when alert motorist witnessed the semi driving erratically and called 911.

An Aitkin County deputy who was patrolling in the vicinity located and witnessed the driving conduct and initiated a traffic stop.

Following the arrest, the Aitkin County Attorney’s Office filed a formal complaint against Guyer charging him with three separate gross misdemeanors: controlled substance fifth-degree possession, possession of a pistol without permit and intent to escape tax. He was also charged with fourth-degree DWI, a misdemeanor, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, no proof of insurance and possession of drug paraphernalia, a petty misdemeanor.

Assisting the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office was the Minnesota State Patrol.
