The following individuals have recently been charged with felonies in Mille Lacs County District Court

Nicholas Adam Benskin, 38, of Milaca, was charged on or about May 4 with one felony count of DWI - operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, one felony count of DWI - blood alcohol concentration over .08 with two hours of vehicle operation and one gross misdemeanor driving after the cancellation of a license. Benskin is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on July 9.

Kirby Renee Benjamin, 23, of Onamia, was charged on or about May 10 with one felony count of receiving stolen property and one gross misdemeanor count of fifth-degree drug possession. Benjamin is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on June 4.

Bradley Douglas Nelson, 27, of Milaca, was charged on or about May 10 with one felony count of violating a domestic abuse no contact order. Nelson is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on May 21.

Aaron Eugene Bellanger, 30, of Bagley, was charged on or about May 10 with one felony count of possession of ammunition by felon convicted of crime of violence, one felony count of possession of ammo by a convicted or adjudicated delinquent for crime of violence and one felony count of receiving stolen property. Bellanger is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on May 28.

Blayne Eugene Meyer, 24, of Sauk Rapids, was charged on or about May 14 with one felony count of motor vehicle theft and one felony count of receiving stolen property. Meyer is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on May 28.

Barton Dana Roberts, 53, of Princeton, was charged on or about May 13 with one felony count of burglary in the first degree - assaulting a person on the property, one felony count of burglary in the first degree of a dwelling occupied by a non-accomplice and one felony domestic assault. Roberts is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on May 28.

Christie Candace Rodecker, 29, of Sauk Rapids, was charged on or about May 14 with one felony count of motor vehicle theft and one felony count of receiving stolen property. Rodecker is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on May 28.

Dylan Cy Steele, 23, of Milaca, was charged on or about May 16 with one felony count of third-degree drug possession, possessing 12.6 grams which tested positive for methamphetamine. Steele is scheduled to appear in Mille Lacs County District Court on Aug. 27.

It is the Messenger’s policy to cover all incidents in Mille Lacs County that result in felony charges filed in Mille Lacs District Court. Lesser charges may be covered if they are included in the felony complaint, concern public figures, serious injury or death, an imminent threat to public safety or at the Messenger’s discretion.
