According to an incident report from the Minnesota State Patrol, two occupants of a motorcycle trike were injured when they swerved to avoid backed up traffic on Hwy. 169 the morning of Saturday, June 1.

John Robert Walter, 54, and Kimberly Ann Walter, 48, both of Little Falls, were riding a 1985 unknown motorcycle trike northbound on Hwy. 169. Near Co. Rd. 26 south of Garrison, the pair swerved to avoid rear-ending stopped traffic and went off the road to the right. The driver and the passenger were ejected from the bike.

Both riders sustained non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Crosby hospital. Neither rider wore a helmet, and no alcohol was believed to be involved. The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
