According to a report from the Minnesota State Patrol, a man was injured when two cars collided at the intersection of U.S. Hwy. 169 and 160th street in Mille Lacs County the afternoon of Thursday, April 18.

Leah Rae Walz, 37, of Milaca, was driving a 1996 Dodge Dakota northbound on Hwy. 169. Lee Vernon Olson, 67, of Princeton, was crossing the southbound lane of Hwy 169 in a 2017 Nissan Murano. The Nissan failed to yield, and the two vehicles collided. Walz was uninjured, and Olson was transported to Cambridge hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, and conditions were dry. No alcohol was believed to be involved.
