A McGregor man, Donald Anthony Fena, 75, suffered life-threatening injuries resulting from a crash over the holiday weekend at approximately 7 a.m. On Friday, July 5, Fena was traveling southbound on Hwy. 65 at Goshawk Street, north of McGregor in Aitkin County and made a left turn onto Goshawk Street. Fena was struck broadside from a northbound traveling 2002 Ford Superduty pickup driven by Orville Baker, 71, of White Bear Lake.

Fena was airlifted to St. Mary’s hospital in Duluth with life-threatening injuries. He was wearing his seatbelt according to Minnesota State Patrol. Baker was treated at the scene with non-life threatening injuries. No alcohol was involved.
