Saturday, January 25:
1 - 3 p.m.: Snowshoeing into the Past
An indoor look at some artifacts, and a snowshoe trek led by archaeologists to locations where they discovered evidence of a village from the 1600s and a “campsite” dating to over 3,000 years ago. Snowshoes and basic snowshoeing instruction are provided.
Registration is required and limited for all activities. Call (320) 532-3269 and leave your name, phone number, and number of people attending. All activities meet at the Interpretive Center.
Saturday, February 1:
1 - 4 p.m.: Cross-country Ski Lesson and Trail Tour
Learn all the basic skills you will need to enjoy traditional cross-country skiing. After the lessons, join the ski instructors and park naturalist for guided ski tour on the park’s woodland trails. Bring your own skis or rent some at the park office ($10/day) before meeting at the Interpretive Center. Registration is required & limited, call (320) 532-3269 and leave your name, phone number and number of people attending.
